When Khadijah answered the phone and did not introduce herself. I asked for a two bedroom and she told me she didn’t have a two bedroom until February. She asked for my first and last name; how many occupants; apartment preferences; any pets; any deal breakers; lead source; phone number and email address. She gave me the price and asked if that was in my price range.

The only qualifying questions that were reviewed in person was size apartment, and pets during the tour. She recapped I was looking for a two-bedroom, two-bath apartment. She used a floor plan to show me the layout. She told me what all the apartments came standard with and that utilities were included. She told me about the community amenities and that they share a pool with their sister community, Colesville Towers.

Khadijah asked if I wanted to see the community amenities first and I agreed. She asked me for my ID. She began with telling they are only 104 units. She showed me the mail room and pointed out the concierge. She told me how the packages worked. She said there are seven units on each floor. She showed me the business center, gym, and community center. She mentioned the trash and recycle bins on each floor.

I shared with her that I had a 15-year-old and she said she had a 16-year-old. As we approached the elevator, she said I couldn’t fit anything more than 7 ft tall. We talked about the sport the kids played. This create a lot of rapport. At this point I asked if a lot of kids live in the community and she told me anyone that qualifies lives in the community. She asked where I was moving from.

Khadijah tried to pretrial close me and asked if I wanted to start the application process that day and my application would be good for the next 60 days. I said I wanted to discuss it with my son, and I had some other places to see. She went on to describe the application process and the $39 fee in case I did change my mind and want to apply sooner than later. She told me about EPremium.

I asked if it was gas or electric. She told me gas and asked if I liked electric and I said I did. She told me they only accept cats and she remembered that I told her I did not have a pet from our phone conversation. She told me they offer 6/9/12 lease terms and explained the premium for the shorter.

I told her over the phone when she asked me about anything specific needs I told her closet space but since we didn't see a model or vacant we didn't discuss my preferences so N/A given for last question and no points lost.

She told me they are out of brochure folders and she doesn’t have any business cards because she is only there temporarily. Khadijah highly recommended her sister property at Colesville Towers because she only had one apartment to offer me and it wasn’t available to show when I arrived.

Khadijah did try to convince me to start the application process because it would be good for 60 days when the next apartment would be available. She was very thorough explaining the application process.

She was very professional and she was wearing a business casual dress which looked very nice but no name-tag.
