Telephone Comments (Please provide the phone conversation from start to finish. All details are necessary.):
Melanie answered the phone quickly and identified both herself and the community. I asked if she had any apartments available and she quickly replied that she had a one-bedroom and asked if it was for me. I said yes, just me. Melanie asked when I wanted to move and I said the end of the month, but I was worried that would be too soon. Melanie said she thought she could get it by the end of the month and if not, certainly by the beginning of December. I said that would work. Melanie asked for my name and then asked if I was familiar with the apartments in any way. I said not really. Melanie asked, "Are you looking to move to the Dundalk area, Cindy." I said I was and then Melanie went on to explain that this was a small community with 140 nice apartments. There are only six apartments in each building. All have carpeting throughout and central air, are cable ready. All have a frost-free refrigerator and a garbage disposal with a gas range and gas heat and laundry facilities on property. Melanie asked if I had any pets. I don't have one now but might like to adopt. She said they allowed cats only and went over the pet policy.
When it came time to set up a personal tour, Melanie explained that policy had just changed and because of COVID, they were no longer allowed to invite people in to physically see the apartments. She explained the documentation I needed to apply and how I could fill out the application on line. I said I really wanted to see the property before we did that and it was decided that I could come out on my own and drive through the property to get a feel and see if I liked it. Then I could contact either Melanie or her co-worker and fill out the application. Melanie did say that because of COVID they were not in the office every day anymore. She told me the days she and the other woman would be working on-site.
Melanie has the great personality. She was enthusiastic about the apartments and was very warm and welcoming. She was extremely likeable.
