Gia was very pleasant over the phone. She answered the phone with her name and the name of the community. She asked many questions to help qualify me for an apartment such as my move in date, number of occupants, pets, and desired special features. She asked how I had heard about the community as well.

After asking several questions, Gia was able to offer me a few options on available apartments. She described the options that were coming available and also informed me of the current promotions being offered that would save me money on the market rent, as well as on move in costs. She offered an additional option to also consider which was a one and den.

She described that floor plan, while also making me aware that there were some apartments that were upgraded as well. She detailed what those upgrades looked liked. She followed up every suggestion with a price and asked if they worked for me. At the end, she invited me in for a tour. I accepted her invitation for the same day. She gave me the address to the model and told me to plug it into the GPS.

Comments (Please explain in detail your experience as you entered the leasing office). :

I had made an appointment to tour the the property. When I arrived at my appointment time, three other individuals were in the office already and Gia was working alone. Gia told me that although I had an appointment, she had to assist individuals as they came in. She proceeded to tell me she could get to me in about 40 minutes. She told me that the one bedroom model was open to view across the hall, as well as the upgraded two bedroom model. She continued to assist the gentlemen who was applying at that time.

Comments on Qualifying Needs. :

After the office had cleared out, Gia invited me to her desk to discuss what we previously outlined over the phone. Because I heard her explain the property to the other prospects, she did not go into as much detail as she may have because she assumed I was listening to the others. She made it a point to review all of the information I previously provided and again let me know what apartments were available to meet my wish list. She discussed the specials again, the utilities I would be responsible for, and the application process.

I was not given a tour of the model or a vacant apartment- I viewed the models on my own. Gia did give me a tour of the storage unit and laundry facility. Using a floor plan, Gia discussed the layouts of the apartments, their features, and what the actual apartments available for me would have in them. She made it a point to mention the onsite maintenance team available, as well as the long standing management company. She informed me how residents paid their rent and their utilities as well.

I had higher expectations for the tour than what I received. I do realize that Gia was by herself and busy; however, because of that, I do not believe I was afforded a fair appointment. My time there seemed rushed. Gia assumed that because my fiancé wasn't with me that I wasn't interested in applying for anything that day. She created no urgency in asking me to apply or inquire about when I think I may be interested in applying. She encouraged me to take the material she provided me home to look over and come back with my fiancé at a later time. She let me know that the office was open seven days a week and that someone would always be available to assist me.

Gia responded very well to the Fair Housing questions. When asked about the safety of the community, she said that safety varies depending on the comfort level of each person and that she would encourage me to take a drive around the community myself to see how I felt. When I asked her if I could be in a building with no children, she responded that they cannot segregate people in that way and that the property rents to anyone who is qualified.
