Megan answered the phone promptly with the name of the community and her name. When I told her that I was interested in an apartment, she proceeded to ask me several questions to best understand my needs. She asked when I was looking to move, the size apartment I needed, number of occupants, if I was bringing pets, and how I learned about the community. She asked for my name, as well as my phone. She was able to find an apartment and stated the price. She checked to see if that was in my price range. She then went on to invite me to the property to which I set up an appointment for that day. she offered me directions to the property as well. She made sure to tell me that they had several specials running currently. I was looking forward to the visit.

She reviewed all of this information again when I arrived. She additionally restated the price and asked if it was OK. She then offered to show me the one bedroom model. Closing Comments (Please explain all the details of how the agent attempted to close you at the end of the onsite visit. Also, explain your reason for not leasing that same day.):

Megan did offer to give me keys to view a vacant apartment. She quickly asked if I had any other questions before asking me if I was ready to apply that day. When I told her no, she again mentioned the specials would not be running for long and proceeded to give me marketing materials to take with me. She gave me a sheet that listed how I could apply when I was ready along with her card. She made herself available for questions or to set up future visits to the property. Based on the tour, I was indifferent about signing a lease. Megan covered the basics but she needs to use more tools of engagement such as asking me why I was moving or what interested me about the local area. There was nothing extraordinary about the demonstration or the way it was presented, although Megan was a pleasure to meet with.
