Ping answered the phone stating the name of the property and she introduced herself. I stated that I was looking for availability of their apartments. My first impression was Ping has a nice personality and she was very professional.

Ping asked for my name and when I was looking to move. She asked if I was familiar with the area and she asked me if I was from Baltimore. I told her that I was from Delaware and then she had asked why I wanted to move. I explained I was relocating for work and to be closer to my boyfriend. She did ask about pets and it if I had any preferences in my new apartment home.

Ping asked me if I had any special preferences. I told her closet space as well as a washer and dryer in unit. She explained there was laundry room in the apartment building but not in the actual apartments. She said they did have a renovated studio and it did come with the washer and dryer.

Ping asked if I was familiar with the location and she told me the address. She explained they were right near Penn Station.

Ping completely controlled the conversation by asking all the questions to make sure she could get a good grasp of what apartment would be fitting for me. She invited me in for tour and we scheduled an appointment.

Ping set up the onsite tour on that following Monday after the holiday. She explained she would send me a follow-up email with a 3D virtual tour of the apartment but she did not send me a follow-up email after our phone call.

When I arrived, I walked into the building it was very clean. The office was surrounded by glass. I told the person behind the desk that I had an appointment with Ping. She told me that was her and she asked if I was Zena. I confirmed and she told me to take a seat, she’d be right out. When she came out of the office, Ping was super nice and happy to see me. She reviewed all the questions on the phone with my answers to refresh her memory. She asked me for my license and she got the keys so we could take a tour. Ping did follow the COVID guidelines by wearing a mask and gloves as well as staying her distance.

Ping identified my needs by going over what we had discussed on the phone. She was prepared to show me two different apartments. We talked about move-in date, apartment size, and I would be moving in by myself. She reviewed the pet policy.

Comments on the Demonstration (Please describe your experience while virtually touring with community with the Leasing Professional.):

Ping walked me around to see the gym, the courtyard, and the laundry facility. She showed me the Amazon hub mailing system that was new to me so she explained how it worked. After that she led me to the apartments. Both of the apartments were move-in ready and clean. Ping was enthusiastic about everything the community had to offer. She asked where else I had been looking. I mentioned the building right in-front of this apartment complex. Ping did not comment on the competition, she moved on to another unrelated conversation.

She walked me through the vacant and pointed out the features of each room. We talked about how my furniture would fit. She was very talkative and she shared her own personal living experiences which I could relate to. I asked Ping if there is any problem with noise since my window would be facing the courtyard and she said if I had any problems I could report it to management and they would take care of the situation.

Closing Comments (Please explain all the details of how the Leasing Professional attempted to close you at the end of the onsite visit. Also, explain your reason for not leasing that same day.):

Based on meeting Ping I would absolutely would rent an apartment from her. She was friendly and engaging. I felt very comfortable speaking with her. She was very confident and came across as genuinely appreciating her property. She had told me if I wanted the one bedroom and den that I would need to apply my application by definitely the end of this week. This would give me the discounted price and it would hold the apartment.

Throughout the tour she did ask me what I thought to gauge my interest in leasing one of the apartment and she suggested a sense of urgency before she bid me a farewell as the tour ended; However, she did not attempt schedule a follow up phone call. PIng did not attempt to overcome my reason for not leasing that same day. I mentioned I was looking at another building next door after she asked me and she moved on in conversation.

I had asked Ping is the court yard patio gets loud and would I have a problem with hearing young kids or adults down there partying from the apartment as that would be my view from my apartment. she had told me that she does not think I would have that problem and as well that If I did I could report it. I also asked If I would have a problem with hearing my neighbors in my apartment and she told me that the foundation is pretty solid that I as well should not have that problem but if I did then I could get that problem take care of as well.
