I walked into the leasing office. The office was busy with people. They were having an “Open House”. Someone looked up from their desk and said “Hi, how are you!” I said I had an appointment with Briana. She pointed to Briana and simultaneously Briana said, “that’s me.” She was talking with someone at her desk.

She finished with her guest and invited me to sit at her desk. She assembled a brochure for me to take which included two floor plans and a rate sheet. No application was included. She used the floor plans to point out differences in the living space. She pointed to the sheet that showed me what I needed to apply but she did not review it with me.

She did not ask for my ID before we started the tour. She was not wearing a name-tag. Briana was dressed business casual. She was very cheerful and professional.

She used the floor plans to point out differences in the living space. She pointed to the sheet that showed me what I needed to apply.

Briana said they did not have washer and dryers in all the apartments, and they did have laundry rooms. She said some buildings are three floors and some are four floors.

She told me they have specials for a limited time frame. We got up and went to a three-bedroom vacant. The first thing she pointed out was the washer and dryer in the unit. She was proud to show me the very large closet space. Briana walked me to each area of the apartment continuing to point out closet space. She asked if I liked it. I told her the carpet looked overly shampooed. She said she thought they would be replacing it. She told me the “new” management company would be making a lot of changes.

As we stood in the vacant, she told me they had three playgrounds, a “small” fitness center, and a pool. She said she thought they would be expanding the fitness center soon. She told me they had a courtesy patrol that drives the property. I asked if they had a lot of break ins. She said not since she had been working there which was a year in a half.

I told her I worked from home and I wanted a quiet community. She said she would locate me away from the pool area and it would be quieter.

Briana did not ask me about my specific needs and preferences; although, she covered all the apartment and community amenities in conversation so points given for #7.

We went back to the leasing office. There was one other leasing agent and now the office was quiet. Briana did not have a business card for me. She said they had new management and she would be getting cards soon. She re-introduced herself and told me it was a pleasure to meet me and shook my hand farewell. She walked me to the door, and we said our goodbyes. She did not discuss the application process with me; however, she did include application information sheet in my packet but is was never discussed.

Briana did not have a name tag. She did not ask if I wanted to apply. She did not ask me any qualifying questions. I did not observe any guest card on her desk with my information. The call last 15:01 minutes.

Briana was focused on showing me her vacant/model unit. She did not spend any time learning about my needs.

Comment (Provide as much detail as possible. This is a mandatory box.):

I had to drive around the property the find the leasing office. Even though they had balloons in front that day it was still a challenge to find the leasing office with such a large community. I think more directional signs are needed. Also, white awnings are a challenge to keep clean. The majority of awnings I passed by were exceptionally dirty/stained.

Briana did not give me a tour of any common/community areas. I did not see the pool, gym, nor the laundry facilities.
